PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University head softball coach Ron Shoemaker will not be returning for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Bill Bradshaw on Friday.

Under Shoemaker's tenure, the softball program participated in two Atlantic 10 post-season tournaments. Academically, the team achieved one of the highest grade-point averages in the athletics program.

"We appreciate Ron's contributions to the La Salle softball program," Bradshaw said. "We wish him well in his future endeavors."

A search for a head softball coach will begin immediately.
