John Madden set the Explorer and Kirk Pool scoring record in 1986 (529.75). He was the MAAC Champion in both 1986 and 1987.  Madden was a two-time NCAA Qualifier in one meter diving (1986, 1987) and placed sixteenth at the NCAA Championships in 1987.
