Sean Quigley was a decorated distance runner, earning five All-America citations in track and field and two in cross country. He was a NCAA qualifier 11 times (twice in cross country, three times indoors and six times outdoors). Quigley won nine Atlantic 10 individual championships (two in cross country, five indoors and two outdoors) and helped the Explorers to three Atlantic 10 cross country championships. He was the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Meet three times and set three A-10 meet records (indoor mile, indoor 5k, outdoor 5k). Quigley set the school record holder in four events (indoor 3k, indoor 5k, outdoor 5k, outdoor 10k) and was the USTFCCCA Student-Athlete of the Year twice. He qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 10k and ran the fastest 10k time in NCAA Division I that season.
