La Salle University Athletics

Thomas Bonk was a hard-hitting catcher/first baseman whose batting average (.414) was Explorer record at time of his induction.  Bonk batted in 131 runs during his La Salle career with 149 hits and 22 homers and was named Honorable Mention NCAA All-American and First Team All-East Region in 1981 and 1982. He was an all-ECC selection in 1981 and 1982.

He tallied a school record nine RBI in a single game in 1981 and slugged .464 during the 1982 season.
