Bill Raftery was the first-ever Honorary Inductee to the Alumni Association's Hall of Athletes. Raftery was honored for his outstanding work as a nationally recognized basketball analyst. Over his nearly 25-year broadcast career, the excitable announcer has called many thrilling New Jersey Nets and college basketball games including Nets playoff wins, Big East basketball thrillers and, of course, NCAA basketball for ESPN and CBS television and radio.
