Philadelphia, PA – La Salle University women's basketball head coach Mountain MacGillivray announced today the addition of Tiffany Coll to the Explorers' coaching staff as an assistant coach. Coll joins La Salle after an 11-year tenure at American University, including the last three seasons as head coach of the Eagles.
"So excited to have Tiffany join our staff. Tiffany and I go all the way back to her junior year of high school. I have watched her as she has built a career in this game. To hire a coach with her gifts is a blessing for our program," said MacGillivray.
During her decade-long career at American, Coll played a pivotal role in one of the most successful periods in program history. As an assistant and associate head coach, she helped guide the Eagles to three Patriot League Championships, three regular-season titles, and five 22+ win seasons, along with three NCAA Tournament appearances and two WNIT berths.
Coll was promoted to head coach of American in 2022, where she continued to develop All-Patriot League and Academic All-District honorees, leading her teams with a focus on both athletic and academic excellence.
Before her time at American, Coll served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Towson University and spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Lehigh University. She also held assistant coaching roles at Navy and began her career as a graduate assistant at St. John's University.
A 2003 graduate of UMBC, Coll was a four-year letterwinner for the Retrievers and served on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Following her collegiate career, she played professionally overseas in Portugal, Germany, Holland, and Wales. Coll earned her master's degree in sociology from St. John's in 2007.
