A

Academic Support for Student-Athletes
La Salle assists student-athletes throughout the course of their studies at the University. More information about the academic support program can be found here.

ADA Accommodations
Parking:
Disabled parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in front of Tom Gola Arena, as well as McCarthy Stadium. Patrons must have a valid state-issued disabled person parking placard. The person possessing the placard must be in the vehicle to park in a space reserved for disabled patrons.

Restrooms:
Disabled accessible stalls are available in all restrooms at Tom Gola Arena.

Seating:
Patrons should contact the La Salle ticket office at 215-951-1999 to arrange for seating accommodations, if needed.

Alcoholic Beverage Policy
No alcohol (including non-alcoholic beer and wine) or illegal drugs may be brought into or consumed at any La Salle University athletic event.

Animals
Certified service animals or service animals in training for guests with disabilities are welcome at all Explorer events. All other animals are not allowed in any Explorer athletic venue unless specified by management.

Anthem Singing
If you are interested in performing the National Anthem at a La Salle men’s or women’s basketball game, please contact Sarah Barrett at barretts5@lasalle.edu.

ATMs
A new ATM has been added to the TruMark Financial Center (formerly Hayman Center), on the first floor next to the Ticket Office. Other ATMs on the La Salle campus are located on the first floor of the Union building, as well as in Benilde Hall. Additionally, there is a Beneficial Bank located in the Shoppes at La Salle at 5301 Chew Avenue.

Baby Changing Stations
Baby changing stations are available in the restrooms at Tom Gola Arena.

Bag searches
Only small personal bags will be permitted inside Tom Gola Arena and are subject to search at the entrance. Please leave all unnecessary items in your vehicle or at home. Prohibited items must be returned to your vehicle or discarded. Staff may not store or hold items for you until postgame.

Banners/Signs
Banners and signs are allowed all athletic events; however La Salle University reserves the right to remove at anytime any banners or signs that are considered controversial or offensive, without exception. Banners or signs may not obstruct the line of site of another guest, cover up any existing signage or disturb the court or field of play.

Binoculars
Binoculars and their cases are permitted at La Salle athletic events but are subject to inspection.

Broadcasts
Men’s basketball games can be heard live online through the TuneIn Radio App and Stretch Internet. Women’s basketball games are also streamed through Stretch Internet.

Camps
Sports camps are often hosted by La Salle’s coaches. Please check the web page of the specific sport you are interested in for more information.

Cheerleaders
The La Salle cheerleaders promote a special and exciting environment at men’s and women’s home basketball games, as well as other events throughout the year.

Children's Entry Policy
Children 24 months and older are required to have a ticket in order to gain entry to La Salle men’s and women’s basketball games. Children under 24 months of age may enter without a ticket, but must sit on their parent or guardian's lap if no other seats are available.

Code of Conduct
La Salle University and the Atlantic Ten Conference promote good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner.

Profanity, racial or sexist comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the arena.

Conference
The La Salle Explorers compete in the
Atlantic 10 Conference.

Coolers
Coolers are not permitted in La Salle athletic venues.

Community Service
Project Teamwork is a youth outreach and community service project sponsored by the La Salle University athletic department. Information about the various community service endeavors of La Salle student-athletes can be found here.

Concessions
Food and beverage is available for purchase during men’s and women’s basketball games on the mezzanine level of the Hayman Center.

Contests and Promotions

Credit cards
Major credit cards are accepted for the purchase of event tickets. Concession purchases are cash only.

Dance Team
The X-Plorettes are the official dance team of La Salle athletics. For more information on tryouts and appearances, click here.

Donation requests
Requests for donations for non-profit/charitable purposes may be obtained by clicking here. 

Doors Open
Doors open one hour and thirty minutes prior to game time for the general public.

Elevators
There is an elevator available for public use at Tom Gola Arena. None of La Salle’s other athletic facilities have elevator access.

Emergencies
For any emergency at a La Salle athletic event, including medical emergencies, please call 911 and notify the nearest security officer or La Salle staff member.

Emergency Evacuation
In the event of an emergency, athletic facility staff will utilize the public address system to inform patrons of the situation and any instructions as applicable. All exits and emergency exits are posted with appropriate signage.

Explorer Club
The Explorer Club provides additional financial support to the men’s and women’s athletic programs at La Salle and offers several benefits for members, including priority parking, hospitality during men’s basketball games and invitations to special events. First Aid/EMS
Assistance can be provided or called upon at all athletic events in case of emergency. Direct all needs to the closest La Salle staff member in order to receive assistance as quickly as possible.

Food/Beverages
Food or beverages of any kind (alcoholic included) are not allowed to be brought into athletic events at Tom Gola Arena. Concessions are available for purchase during men’s and women’s basketball games on the mezzanine level.

Game dates and times
Game dates and times are subject to change. In the event a game date or time change should occur, the information will be immediately posted on goexplorers.com.

Game programs
Game programs are available for purchase during men’s and women’s basketball home games in the Hayman Center lobby.

Gates Open
Gates open one hour and thirty minutes prior to the start of men’s and women’s basketball games at Tom Gola Arena. Gate openings vary for other La Salle athletic venues.

Giveaways
La Salle Athletics, in conjunction with various sponsors, occasionally hosts special "giveaway" events. Check GoExplorers.com to see if a promotion is linked to a specific game.

Group Tickets/Sales
Groups of 20 or more are eligible to receive discounted tickets to men’s and women’s basketball games. For more information, contact the La Salle ticket office at 215-951-1999

Intramural Sports

Participation in intramural sports is open to any member of the La Salle Community with a valid ID. Among the intramural sports leagues at La Salle are flag football, volleyball, basketball and softball.  More information can be found here

Kids’ Days
La Salle hosts special “kids days” at athletic events throughout the year. Children have the opportunity to receive discounted admission (to men’s and women’s basketball games), as well as meet La Salle players. If you are interested in participating in one of these events, please contact Michelle DeLong at delongm1@lasalle.edu.

L

Lost and Found
If you have lost an item during an event, please contact the nearest La Salle staff member for assistance. You may also turn in any found items to La Salle staff or security personnel. Items turned in will be held for thirty days and then discarded.

After an event, please contact facilities at 215-951-1678 to inquire about lost items. If you get a voicemail, please leave your name and phone number and your call will be returned.

Mascot Appearances
The Explorer, the official mascot of La Salle University Athletics, makes appearances at campus events and in the community. The La Salle cheerleaders and X-Plorettes dance team are also available for appearances. To book an appearance for your special event, please e-mail Michelle DeLong at delongm1@lasalle.edu

Merchandise

La Salle merchandise can be purchased though the official team store of La Salle athletics. A portion of the proceeds benefits La Salle’s athletic programs.

Merchandise also can be purchased at the University book store and is also often on sale during La Salle men’s basketball games.

Noisemakers
NCAA rules prohibit artificial noisemakers from being brought into La Salle athletic venues. This includes, but is not limited to, all horns (including air horns), cow bells and whistles. Prohibited items will be confiscated.

The selling of merchandise, food, beverages or other items on the property is strictly prohibited.

Public Transportation
La Salle University can be reached by the SEPTA public transportation system via the Olney stop on the Broad Street line. In addition, the 18 and 26 SEPTA buses run down Olney Avenue. Visit the

Re-entry policy
Patrons may not re-enter Tom Gola Arena during ticketed events.

Resale of tickets
The resale of athletics tickets, for any amount of money, on La Salle University property, constitutes solicitation and is strictly prohibited unless permitted by the La Salle University Athletic Department.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted inside La Salle athletic venues. Smoking is permitted outside each facility.

Solicitation
La Salle does not permit unauthorized soliciting or collecting of contributions, vending, distribution of fliers or other promotional/advertising materials on the University campus.

Standing room only
At Tom Gola Arena, every ticket has a seat assignment. There are no standing room only tickets available. Ushers are instructed to keep the aisles clear. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the aisles clear during game action and for the ease of movement of other patrons.

Tailgating
There is no tailgating permitted on the La Salle campus without the expressed consent of the La Salle athletic department.

Tickets
Men’s and women’s basketball are the only La Salle athletic events that require tickets. All other athletic events on the La Salle campus are free of charge.

IN PERSON: Tickets may be purchased at the Gola Arena Box Office located on the ground floor of the Hayman Center. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to an event.

Tickets can be purchased with cash, check or a major credit card. Tickets can be picked up at the ticket office or printed at home.

Video cameras
Video cameras are not permitted in Tom Gola Arena.

Video
Fans can catch highlights of the Explorers’ action, as well as exclusive interviews with coaches and student-athletes on the La Salle Athletics YouTube channel.

Water Fountains
Water fountains are located on the east wall of Tom Gola Arena. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in Tom Gola Arena.

Weapons
Weapons of any kind are not permitted in any La Salle athletic event.
