PHILADELPHIA - Meghan McGlinchey has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. She shares the honor with Richmond's Meaghan McGovern.

She was also voted La Salle's Student-Athlete of the Week.

McGlinchey clocked a 16:20.76 in the 5K at the Penn Relays this weekend, blasting her old personal best by over seven seconds and coming within a second of the school record. She finished fourth out of 25 runners in the race.

McGlinchey's time ranks tops in the Atlantic 10 by nearly 13 seconds.

The Explorers return to action this coming weekend when they head to Massachusetts for the 2012 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships on May 5-6.
