About The Band
The La Salle University Explorer Band performs primarily at Men's and Women's basketball games and aims to cultivate an atmosphere of community pride, sportsmanship, and school spirit through quality musical engagement.
We are an integral part of the student experience on campus, providing the soundtrack and excitement for the various sporting events around campus and the community! Starting in 2026, the Explorer Band will also be traveling to the Atlantic 10 Conference Basketball Tournaments in Richmond, VA and Pittsburgh, PA!
Membership in the Explorer Band is open to all students regardless of skill level and all instruments! Instruments are provided in most instances, and so is our band uniform!
The Explorer Band performs at all La Salle home basketball games as well as:
- Other sporting events at La Salle
- Blue and Gold Days
- Special University Events
- Big 5 Championships at Wells Fargo Center
Scholarship Opportunities
Starting in Fall 2025, all new students will receive a Pep Band Scholarship awarded annually for participation in the ensemble! We also offer all members priority course registration, travel opportunities, and more! Students must be admitted to La Salle University and be a member in good standing on the Explorer Band.
