Camilli, Geiger and Reed Pick Up A-10 Honors

Philadelphia, PA - Three La Salle field hockey players were named to the Atlantic post season teams. Sophomore midfielder Allsion Geiger (Hummelstown, PA/Hershey) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference and All-Academic teams. Two seniors also picked up honors; Sara Camilli (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) joins Geiger on the All-Conference team, while Brandi Reed (Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) was added to the All-Academic team.

A starter in all 19 games for La Salle, Geiger boasts a 3.70 grade point average in pscyhology on the academic side, while finishing the 2004 season as the teams second leading scorer with 14 points through seven goals.

Camilli finished the season as La Salle's leading scorer with 17 points, including six goals and five assists, despite missing nine games due to a broken foot. In the final game of the season, Camilli rejoined the team on the field and netted the Explorers' first goal in La Salle's 2-1 win over West Chester.

Rounding out the list of honorees, Reed started all 19 games for La Salle on defense. This season Reed posted her first and only career point, as she assisted on a La Salle goal in the Explorers' 4-3 win over Lafayette on September 2nd. Reed garners a 3.90 grade point average as a Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.
