BETHLEHEM, PA (February 1, 2004) - The La Salle University swim teams each lost their last meet of the season to Lehigh - the men 148-97 and the women 138.5-103.5.
Freshman Sean Connors-McBride won three events on the day, besting the field in the 1000 Free (9:46.30), the 200 Fly (1:54.50), and the 500 Free (4:43.56).
The only other winners on the men's side were fellow freshmen Aaron Amundsen - in the 50 Free (22.38) - and Karo Isajan - in the 1-meter diving event (269.10).
The women would only win four events, both double wins by juniors Courtney Lofgren and Kit Watkins. Lofgren won the 50 Free (25.38) and the 100 Free (54.96), while Watkins won both the diving events (1-meter, 258.68; 3-meter, 237.45).
Both swimming teams are now off until the Atlantic 10 Championships, scheduled to start on Thursday, February 19th and run until Saturday, February 21st in Buffalo, NY.
