Four Homers Boost Explorers Over Hornets 11-4

Dover, DE- Head Coach Lee Saverio's La Salle University Baseball team continues to win as they defeat the Delaware State Hornets 11-4 behind a charge of four homeruns by the Explorers.

La Salle freshman Rich Prall (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) recorded his first collegiate homerun in the top of the ninth inning. He followed sophomore George Hudock (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) who homered just before Prall.

Senior Brian Oakes (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) started the homerun derby off when he drove a two run bomb in the third inning, bringing in John Snyder (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) for his two RBI of the game. Junior Ryan Parfitt (Flourtown. PA/La Salle) also hit a homer in the win.

Senior Bryan Harvey (Doylestown, PA/La Salle) started on the mound for La Salle. He pitched in over seven innings for the Explorers and gave up two earned runs. He was relieved by junior Matt Kirsch (West Chester, PA/Archbishop Carroll). Kirsch recorded his first collegiate save in the victory.

The Explorers improve to 10-2-1 on the season and will host the Villanova Wildcats at Hank DeVincent Field, Wednesday, March 10th at 3:15 p.m.
