Richmond, VA - La Salle freshman Rich Prall (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) went 2-4 and drove in two runs, but the Spiders managed to complete a three game sweep of La Salle defeating the Explorers 3-2, today, Sunday, May 16th at Richmond.

La Salle senior Eric Ruhland (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) was the starting pitcher. He pitched in six and one third innings and struck out five batters. Ruhland was relieved by fellow senior Chris Hughes (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) who pitched the final one and two thirds of the game.

The Explorers had a 2-1 lead after the third inning, but Richmond managed to tie it up in the bottom of the fourth and score one more run in the seventh to earn the 3-2 victory.

La Salle finishes the season 20-28-2 overall and 5-19 in the Atlantic 10 conference.
