Philadelphia, PA - Head Coach Lee Saverio's La Salle University baseball team lost its fifth straight game today, Friday, May 7th, as they lost the first of a three game series to the Duquesne University Dukes 14-0.

The Dukes took an early lead and built on it throughout the game, while the Explorers struggled from the plate. Duquesne out hit La Salle 16-4, and scored in seven of the nine innings played.

Today's loss puts the Explorers at 18-23-2 on the season and 4-15 in the conference, while the Dukes improve to five hundred in the conference with eight wins and eight losses. La Salle will honor its seniors tomorrow, Saturday, May 8th before they host the Dukes in a doubleheader starting at noon.
