Jacobs, a sophomore running back, rushed for a career-high 186 yards on 25 carries in his first career start, a 45-7 Duquesne win over Georgetown. Jacobs, who ran for 98 yards in the first half, scored on a 65-yard run in the third quarter to make the score 31-7.
MAAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MICHAEL FORD, Duquesne University
Junior, Defensive Back, 6-2, 190
Clinton, MD/Oxon Hill
Ford, a junior defensive back, returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown, forced two fumbles, recovered one fumble and was credited with three passes broken up in Duquesne's 45-7 win over Georgetown. He finished the game with five total tackles.
MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
EJ WILLIAMS, La Salle University
Freshman, Linebacker, 5-11, 205
Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville
Williams, a freshman linebacker, led all defenders with seven solo tackles and eight total in La Salle's 6-0 loss to the College of New Jersey. In his first ever start at linebacker, he also had 2.5 tackles for loss for eight yards, helping the Explorers keep the TCNJ offense out of the end zone the entire game and limiting them to a total of 146 yards of offense.
