Philadelphia, PA . - The La Salle University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Virginia Commonwealth in the first round of the Virginia Commonwealth Tournament today, Friday, September 3rd.

Virginia Commonwealth scored both of its goals in the first half. The Explorers held the powerhouse scoreless in the second half of the game. La Salle will continue action in the tournament as they face Delaware at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 5th.

La Salle falls to 0-1-0 on the season and will host Villanova in it's season opener on Wednesday, September 8th at 3:30 p.m. at McCarthy stadium.
