Philadelphia, PA - La Salle University women's swimming freshman Jamie Polek (Hanover, MD/Seton Keough) was honored as the ECAC Performer of the Week for the week of January 10, 2005.

Polek contributed 22 points in La Salle's 149-91 victory of Drexel on January 8th.  In the 1000 free, Polek swam to a first place finish with a time of 10:39.01, more than six seconds faster than the second place time of 10:46.32.  In the 500 free, Polek also claimed victory with a time of 5:15.17. 

Polek added an additional four points with her second place finish in the 100 free (52.24), just 0.06 seconds off the top time.

Polek along with the Explorers will be back in action this weekend, January 14-15, 2005 at the Rhode Island Invitational.
