Eight Explorers Named to MAAC Academic Team


MAAC Announces 2004 New York Lottery MAAC Football League All-Academic Team


EDISON, NJ - A total of 39 athletes comprise the 2004 New York Lottery MAAC Football League All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College led all schools with 14 members named to the team. Marist College had 10 athletes, while La Salle University had eight players named to the team. Duquesne University had four student-athletes, while Saint Peter's College rounded out the team with three athletes.
