Men's Swimming Clip Lehigh Mountain Hawks

PHILADELPHIA, PA - In their final meet of the regular season, the La Salle men's swimming team downed the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 157.50 - 84.50 at Kirk Pool on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore diver Karo Isajan (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill) took the top spot in the 1-meter (310.80) and 3-meter (338.70) events to give the Explorers 12 points. 

The Explorers dominated in the 500 free, sweeping the top three spots with freshman Eli Field (Philadelphia, PA/Friends Central) finishing first with a time of 4:48.00 followed by sophomore Sean Connors-McBride (Stroudsburg, PA/Germantown Academy) in second (4:51.95) and junior Emir Hubijar (Blue Bell, PA/Germantown Academy) crossing the finish line in third (4:53.24).

La Salle also captured the top three spots in the 200 butterfuly, with Connors-McBride leading the pack (1:54.80), Field finishing second (1:56.92) and sophomore Reed Inglee (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's and St. Agnes) claiming third place (2:03.11).

Field also earned a first place finish in the 1000 free (9:53.09) and Hubijar finished behind him in second with a time of 9:56.60).

Connors-McBride garnered the top spot in the 200 free (1:43.85) followed by La Salle freshman John Welsh (Maple Glen, PA/La Salle College) with a time of 1:43.38). 

The Explorers will close out the 2004-05 season at the Atlantic 10 Championships on February 16, 2005 in Buffalo, NY.
