Posted by: Susan SennerThe La Salle Explorers women's swimming team hosted the Drexel Dragons at Kirk Pool on Saturday and claimed a 149-91 victory to earn the team's second win of the season.
Sophomore Jamie Polek (Hanover, MD/Seton Keough) led the way for the Explorers swimming to first place finishes in the 1000 free and 500 free, along with a second place finish in the 100 free event. Polek contributed 22 points in the Explorers win over the Dragons.
Also contributing to La Salle's success against the Dragons was sophomore Mallory Kessler (Elverson, PA/Bishop Shanahan). Kessler grabbed the gold in the 200 individual medley as well as the 200 back to add 18 points to La Salle's totals.
Other first place finishes came from Courtney Lofgren (Lafayette Hill, PA/Gwynedd Mercy) in the 50 free, Jessica Nissen (Nazareth, PA/Easton Area) in the 200 fly and Lauren Muchorski (Bensalem, PA/Nazareth Academy) in the 200 back.
