Moseley Strikes Again as La Salle Shuts Out Temple

Posted by: Shawn Sweeney

Moseley scored his third goal in two games.

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Senior Ryan Moseley (Nassau, Bahamas/Queens College HS) continued his hot streak, netting another game-winner to lead the Explorers past crosstown-rival Temple at McCarthy Stadium. La Salle's 1-0 victory improves them to 6-5-3 (3-0-1 Atlantic 10); the Owls fall to 3-10-0 (1-3-0). La Salle is now unbeaten in its last five games.

Moseley, the reigning Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Week, struck early, receiving a headed pass from Jim Davis (Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) in the fifth minute, and booted the ball past Temple goalkeeper Tony Pratico. It was Moseley's fifth goal of the season, and third in the past two games.

Freshman goalkeeper Andrew Bernhard (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) stopped two shots on his way to earning his first career shutout. Pratico made two saves.

The Explorers will travel to Rhode Island on Oct. 21 to take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m.
