"As the week progresses Preston has shown small signs of improvement.  We continue to update the La Salle football family on a daily basis with regards to Preston's condition.

 

The staff and players have made the decision to continue forward with the work week in preparation for the St. Peter's game on Saturday afternoon.

 

The decision was based on feedback from Mr. and Mrs. Plevretes who have indicated to me that this is what Preston would want.

 

I have chosen to stay by Preston's side throughout the week and the team has done a good job moving forward in my absence.

 

I have the utmost confidence in Associate Head Coach Phil Petitte and our staff in helping our young men get through these difficult times and getting ready to play on Saturday.

 

The Plevretes' family appreciates all of the support they have received from family, friends and the La Salle community."

 

The team will attend a special Mass and team breakfast prior to Saturday's game.  Players will also wear Preston's #45 on their helmets during the game
