Davineia Payne was named to the preseason's Second Team

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its 2005 Women's Basketball Preseason All-Conference teams today at the annual media day at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel and two Explorers were among those honored.

Junior forward Crista Ricketts (Douglasville, PA/Daniel Boone), who was named to the 2004 A-10 Second Team after averaging 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, was named to the conference's preseason First Team.

Senior guard Davineia Payne (Bear, DE/Caravel Academy) was named to the preseason's Second Team, a year after scoring 11.2 points and grabbing 5.6 rebounds a game.

La Salle will open its season at the Image Depot Shootout in Tampa, FL, taking on Tennessee-Martin in the opener at 2 PM, Saturday, Nov. 19 and Texas-Arlington at 12 PM on Sunday.
