BUFFALO, NY - On the opening day of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship in Buffalo, NY, the La Salle men's swim team competed in the 200 yard medley and 800 yard freestyle relaty competitions.

In the 200 yard medley, the Explorers crossed the finish line in 8th place with a time of 1:36.79. The team was more successful in the 800 yard freestyle, as Sean Connors-McBride, John Welsh, Mike Ellerson and Emir Hubijar earned a fourth place finish with a time of 6:52.51 and earned La Salle 28 points.

The Explorers will continue competition on Thursday, with the championship ending on Saturday at Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
