Women's Swimming Wrap-Up 2005 at A-10 Championships

BUFFALO, NY - The La Salle University women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2005 season on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Championships held at the Flickinger Aquatic Center.

Richmond one the competition with 921 points, followed by St. Bonaventure finished  in second place (534), George Washington in third (427), the University of Massachusetts in fourth (363), followed by Xavier in fifth (350), Fordham in sixth (326), Duquesne in seventh (318), Rhode Island in eighth (221), and La Salle in ninth (132).

 

Jamie Polek turned in the best Explorer performance on Saturday, finshing in sixth place in the 1650 freestyle event.  Polek Turned in a time of 17:44.53 and added 13 points to the Explorers' total.  Kimmy Evanilla also contributed points in the 1650 free, finishing in 12th place (18:12.57).

 

The Explorers saw two 16th place finishes, with Mallory Kessler finishing in the 200 back stroke (2:14.40) and Jessica Phillips in the 200 breast stroke (2:32.14).
