Posted by: Sue SennerPHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle University lacrosse freshman Emily Bonczek (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) was named the Co-Rookie of the Week by the Atlantic 10.
Bonczek led the Explorers with 10 points, including seven goals and two assists in
La Salle's 16-9 victory over St. Mary's on Friday. She also dropped in her second hat trick of the season in La Salle's 13-9 loss to California last Tuesday.
The freshman currently leads the the Explorers in goals with 14.
Bonczek and the rest of the Explorers will be back in action on Tuesday, when they open the home season at McCarthy Stadium hosting the George Washington Colonials at 3:30 p.m.
