Posted by: Sue SennerMyrtle Beach, SC - The men's golf team kicked off the 2005 spring golf season at the Fairfield Invitational held in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Explorers saw a new look, with new head coach Sal Caimano leading the team.
The Explorers finish seventh, with a combined two-day total of 665 in a field that including Army (630), St. Bonaventure (632), Long Island-Brooklyn (640), Niagara (651), Fairfield (655) and St. Anselem (665).
Phil Arouca led the Explorers with a 161 (80, 81) to finish in 9th place, while freshman Chris Caimano tallied a 162 (82, 80) to place 10th.
