PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle University lacrosse freshman Emily Bonczek (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. 

Bonczek, the team's leading scorer, netted a double hat trick (six goals) in a driving rain against Oregon last Wednesday (3/23/05). The Explorers claimed a 15-10 victory in that match up. 

Three days later, against Albany, Bonczek dropped in four goals on the Great Danes in La Salle's 13-6 victory.

Bonczek has posted three or more goals in seven of La Salle's eight games to date.  The only game that Bonczek did not score a hat trick was a two goal performance against Virginia Tech on Sunday, March 20th.

The freshman phenomenon will be back in action with the rest of the Explorers when they travel to Temple on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
