Bethlehem, PA - La Salle sophomore John Vincent's (Glen Burnie, MD/Cardinal Gibbons) three run homer in the first inning boosted the Explorers over Lafayette 9-6 today, Wednesday, March 30th.

La Salle freshman Jamie Cowan (Annandale, VA/Bishop Ireton) recorded his first collegiate win as he came to relieve sophomore Dan Waters (Wyndmoor, PA/La Salle) who started for the Explorers. Cowan was relieved by senior lefty Matt Kirsch (West Chester, PA/Archbishop Carroll). Freshman John DiPiero (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) also saw action on the mound before sophomore Gerard Breslin (Havertown, PA/Haverford) came in to close and tallied his fourth save of the season.

The Explorers improve to 7-14-0 overall as they get set to host Delaware in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic tomorrow, March 31st at 3:00 PM at Hank DeVincent Field.
