The La Salle University Softball team opened their season on Sunday, March 6 with a double-header at the Rebel Spring Games in Florida.

They opened against Lehigh at 8:45 A.M. and looked sharp defensively, taking a 1-0 lead into the fifth.  But the Mountain Hawks scored 2 runs in the fifth and won the game, 3-1.

At 12:45 they took the field against Toledo.  The Explorers ceded two unearned runs in the first and were unable to get on track offensively, losing 3-0.

La Salle will continue its week-long, 10-game Florida trip today when they take on Yale at 2:15 P.M. and Maine at 4:00 P.M..  Complete results will be posted as the stats become available.
