Boca Raton, FL - The La Salle baseball team dropped two more games in tough competition to Boston College (16-0) and St. Bonaventure (14-4) today, Sunday, March 6th.
La Salle sophomore Dan Waters (Wyndmoor, PA/La Salle) started the first game of the day, against Boston College. Freshman Fran O'Kane (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) led the Explorers offensively as he tallied his first collegiate hit and went 2-4 in the game.
La Salle faced the 2004 Atlantic 10 Champions in the second game and started the game off leading the St. Bonaventure, but the powerhouse Bonnies battled back and regained the lead and held on for the victory.
Freshman Matt Dunaway (Little Rock, AR/Central Arkansas Christian), Dennis Burge (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) and Grant Harm (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) got the bats going for La Salle. Dunaway had three hits on five at bats and scored two runs while both Burge and Harm tallied one hit and one RBI.
La Salle continues its Spring Break trip tomorrow, Monday, March 7th as they face Pittsburgh at 2:00 p.m.
