PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle University men's tennis player Marco Onorato was named to the 2005 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team. A junior, Onorato boasts a 3.83 GPA as a Management Information Systems major at La Salle.
Onorato has previous been honored by the A-10 as a member of the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
On the court, Onorato compiled a 6-5 singles record and a 3-7 doubles record playin in the #2 position in both categories during the 2005 spring season. This past fall, he competed at the #1 singles position and tallied a 2-5 record in both singles and doubles play.
Previously, Onorato earned a 4-3 singles and 2-5 doubles record during the Fall 2003 season.
Joining Onorato on the team are Dayton's Rob Altenau, who was selected as the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year in men's tennis, along with St. Bonaventure's Nikhil Murali, Richmond's Derek Schwandt, George Washington's Matt Treadgold, and Jeremy Miller of Xavier.
