Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle University women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-10 decision to the Richmond Spiders. The loss ends a two game winning streak in the conference and drops the Explorers to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Freshman Emily Bonczek led the Explorers offensivley as she tallied five points in the loss off of four goals and an assist. Richmond scored the first goal of the game and La Salle answered back to even the score at one. But, the Spiders scored two straight and although La Salle came back to within one goal at 3-2 midway through the first period, Richmond found themselves up by two or more goals throughout the game.
La Salle will host Rhode Island this Sunday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Mc Carthy Stadium. Before the start of the game head coach Julie Weiss along with the La Salle University athletic department will honor the seniors who will play their final game at McCarthy Stadium.
