Cincinatti, OH - La Salle sophomore Gerard Breslin (Havertown, PA/Haverford) recorded his eighth save of the season and 14th of his career in the Explorers 4-2 victory over the Xavier Musketeers today, Sunday, April 24th.

Freshman Craig Mushko (Northampton, PA/Northampton) started on the mound and pitched into the fifth inning. Mushko gave up just six hits and two runs, both of which were unearned. The win makes Mushko 3-2 on the season. Breslin pitched the rest of the game and gave up no hits as he tallied his eighth save of the season. The save makes him first all time in single season saves and ties him for first in saves in a career.

La Salle senior Ryan Parfit (Flourtown, PA/La Salle) went 2-4 in the victory with a two run homer and a double. Parfit scored two runs and drove two runs in. Sophomore Billy Kern was 1-2 with a run batted in and a run scored while senior Phil Marino had two hits on three at bats.

The Explorers will stay in Ohio and finish up the series tomorrow, Monday, April 25th starting at 11:00 a.m.
