Philadelphia, PA - La Salle sophomore hurler Gerard Breslin (Havertown, PA/Haverford) has earned himself a spot at the top of the NCAA Statistics among Division I schools in ERA with a 1.09 as of the end of last week. Since the rankings have come out he has moved from a 1.09 to a 1.02 ERA.

Breslin is currently 3-0 on the season and is second on the team in innings pitched with 44.1. He leads the team in appearances with 21 and saves with nine. His nine saves ranks him not only atop the La Salle record books in saves in a single season, but also puts him at 17th nationally. His 15 career saves makes him the all time leader in saves in a career at La Salle.

With his sophomore season over halfway done, and two years left in his tenure at La Salle, Breslin looks to continue to break records and climb the NCAA statistical leader boards.
