Philadelphia, PA - A two run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning lifted the Temple Owls over the Explorers 3-1 today, Wednesday, May 11th at Temple. The Explorers went 11 innings and gave up just one unearned run before falling in the non-conference game.

La Salle senior Anthony Boscaglia (Vineland, NJ/Sacred Heart) started on the mound and pitched four innings giving up one unearned run. He was relieved by freshmen Jamie Cowan (Annandale, VA/Bishop Ireton) and Dennis Burge (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) and sophomore Gerard Breslin (Havertown, PA/Havertown) who gave up no runs in a combined six innings. Junior Jarrod Ringer (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) then came in and pitched the final inning.

The Explorers had just six hits in the game, spakred by a double out of sophomore John Vincent (Glen Burnie, MD/Cardinal Gibbons). Vincent also scored the only run of the game for La Salle.

The Explorers fall to 17-27 overall and will travel to Rider tomorrow, Thursday, May 12th for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
