PHILADELPHIA, PA - Women's tennis co-head coach Stan Shoemaker announced the signing of Lauren Perry for the 2005-06 tennis season.
Perry has earned numerous honors to her credit during her high school career, most recently competing at first singles and earning a 16-8 record. She was named All-South Jersey Group IV and All-South Jersey in additional to be selected as an Atlantic City Press All-Star and Cap-Atlantic League All-Star First Team member. She was voted as the team Most Valuable Player at Mainland Regional High School.
As a junior, Perry picked up All-South Jersy Group IV All-Star Honorable Mention and earned her first Atlantic City Press All-Star honor and team MVP. During her sophomore season, competing at the second singles slot, Perry was compiled a 21-5 record enroute to being an All-South Jersey Group III All-Star Second Team member. That season her team finished as the South Jersey Group III runners-up.
In her freshman campaign, Perry played 3rd singles and earned a 22-4 record. She was named an All-South Jersey Group III All-Star Second Team and Cape-Atlantic League All-Star Honorable Mention.
Perry also competes for the USTA and ended the 2004 season ranked 42nd in girls' 18's Middle States Section.
A native of Somers Point, New Jersey, Perry is planning to major in psychology at La Salle
