Explorers Shut Out By Lafayette

Easton, PA - The La Salle men's soccer team fell at the hands of host Lafayette, 3-0, on the final day of the Lafayette Puma Soccer Classic.

The Leopards got on the scoreboard first in the eighth minute when Anthony Sepe and Mark Price set up Scott Hawkins, who put the ball past Explorers' goalie Andrew Bernhardt. Lafayette tacked on another first half goal when Buster Wiand kicked a loose ball into the net in the 24th minute. Price added an insurance goal in the second half.

Bernhardt made two saves for the Explorers, who were outshot by a 9-4 margin. Lafayette keeper Mike Tortora made one save in the win.

La Salle falls to 1-3, while the Leopards improve to 3-1. The Explorers will travel to Bucknell on Wednesday to take on the Bison.
