Pfeiffer's start against Bucknell marked his first collegiate appearance. He blanked the Bison, stopping seven shots on the way to a 0-0 tie in double overtime.  After goalkeeper Andrew Bernhard suffered an injury in the first half of the Drexel game, Pfeiffer returned to action and continued his stalwart play between the posts. He entered the game with the Explorers trailing 1-0 and held tight for the rest of the way, helping La Salle gut out a 2-1 victory, again in double overtime.

Pfeiffer has played over 183 minutes in net in his short career and has not yielded a single goal. Mike McInaw of Saint Joseph's was also named co-Rookie of the Week.

 

The Explorers return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 20 when they travel to Fairfax, Va., to take on George Mason at 7:00 p.m.
