CINCINNATI, OH - The La Salle University Women's Soccer team trailed early, led late, but still managed to come away with a 2-2 double overtime tie with Xavier and got one crucial point in Friday's Atlantic 10 Conference match.
Entering the night, the Explorers were in a log-jam for the second spot in the A-10 standings with four other teams. However, La Salle has just two games in conference left, while the other teams still have three. That one point could help the Explorers when all are play is complete.

Freshman Ally Kenney gave the Explorers the 2-1 lead with her second goal of the season at the 64:03 mark in the second half. The goal was assisted by junior Shelby Reese.
Xavier (6-8-2, 1-3-2 A-10) took the early one-goal lead in the 30th minute on a tally by Brittany Green, her sixth of the year. The goal was assisted by Ali Nellis and Carissa Gilbert.
The Musketeers would knot the game up at 2-2 on a goal from Susan Loeffler with just 22 seconds left in the match, as Gilbert recorded her second assist of the game.
