Judge Hits Milestone In Loss To Temple

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The La Salle volleyball team travelled down Broad Street on Wednesday night to take on the Temple Owls at McGonigle Hall. The Explorers fell in the contest 3-0 by scores of 30-19, 30-17, 30-25. The loss drops La Salle to 8-20 overall and 0-9 in the Atlantic 10, while the Owls improve to 14-10 overll and 6-3 in the conference.

Senior libero Carolyn Judge led the team with 12 digs and surpassed teh 2,000 career mark, adding to her all-time dig leader total as an Explorer.

Erin Sullivan led the Explorers on offense, landing nine kills and posting a .250 hitting percentage with nine kills and two errors on 28 attempts. Brittany Hanley came off the bench to drop five kills on the Owls. Setter Caitlin Conner assisted on 25 of La Salle's 31 kills.

At the net, Christa Dominick topped all players with six blocks, including two solo and four assisted blocks. Dominick also tallied four kills in the match.

The Owls were led by Yue Liu who posted a match-high 15 kills and Patricia Vernon who finished with 10 kills.

On defense, Temple was led by Yan Liu with 16 digs and Yue Liu who finished the match with 14 digs.

The Explorers will return to action on Saturday when they visit the Fordham Rams in the Bronx, NY.
