BRONX, NY - The La Salle Explorer volleyball team took on the Frodham Rams at Rose Hill Gym and posted a 3-0 loss. The Explorers drop to 8-21 overall and 0-10 in the Atlantic 10, while the Rams improve to 16-14 and 3-7.
Freshman Danielle DiMarco landed a team-high 12 kills and hit .250 for the match, attempting 36 shots and committing just three errors. Junior Brittany Hanley chipped in eight kills for La Salle and Erin Sullivan added seven. Setter Caitlin Conner added an additional 33 assists to her season totals.
On defense, libero Carolyn Judge led the team with 10 digs and Conner tallied eight for the team. At the let, middle blocker Amy McKeon posted a team-best five assisted blocks and Conner added one assisted block and La Salle's only solo block of the contest.
The Rams were led by Tasha Johnston who posted a match-best 18 kills. Fordham also got double-digit kills from Marija Markovic (11) and Jamee Stimson (10). Setter Kealia Ieremia finished the three-game match with 40 assists out of the Rams' 46 kills.
On defense, the Rams were led by Johnston again with 14 digs and Lauren Fitzsimon contributed 13 digs.
La Salle will return to Tom Gola Arena on Tuesday, October 31st, when they host the Lehigh Mountainhawks at 7:00 p.m.
