CINCINNATI, OH - Hitting the road for an Atlantic 10 conference match-up with the Xavier Musketeers at the Cintas Center, the La Salle Explorer volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision.  In a match that last an hour and 22 minutes, the Explorers fell by scores of 30-21, 30-12, 30-19. Xavier improves to 10-8 overll and 3-1 in the conference, while the Explorers slip to 7-16 and 0-5.

The Explorers were led on offense by Stephanie Owen, Christa Dominick and Amy McKeon who each tallied six kills i nthe three-game match.  Setter Caitlin Conner racked up 21 assists on 25 Explorer kills. Dominick led the team in hitting with .500 on six kills, one error and 10 attempts.

On defense, libero Carolyn Judge led La Salle with 12 digs, while Owen added 10 for the Explorers. 

Xavier was led by Jill Quayle with 10 kills on offense and setter Jenn Welsh assisted on 32 of the Musketeers 48 kills and landed four kills of her own.

On defense, the Musketeers were led by Jenni Horvath with 13 digs.

The Explorers will return to action on the road on Saturday, when they visit the Dayton Flyers at 5:00 p.m.
