PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle field hockey players Jillian Moser (Lewisburg, PA/Mifflinburg) and Ellen Axelsen (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park Memorial) were selected as member of the 2006 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team.

A senior forward, Moser was one of four La Salle players to finish the 2006 season with 10 or more points. In the season-opener against Appalachian State, Moser assisted on one goal. Moser increased her points in a game with a goal and an assist against Lafayette for three points. In an Atlantic 10 match against Rhode Island, Moser finished with her second career hat trick, scoring three out La Salle's four goals in a 4-1 victory. Moser also started in all 20 games for the Explorers. A chemistry major, Moser boasts a 3.84 career GPA.

Joining Moser on the team, junior goalkeeper Axelsen was also a starter in all 20 games. Also named as an Atlantic 10 All-Conference honorable mention, Axelsen controlled the cage for all but 30:29 minutes for the season. Stopping 130 shots in 20 games, Axelsen finished the season with a .751 save percentage and allowed 43 goals while recording a 2.14 goals against average. A biology major, Axelsen has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.58.
