PHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle head volleyball coach
Dave Stever announced the signing of Mentor, Ohio native
Jill Mohr for the 2007 season.
A middle blocker, Mohr was a three-year varsity starter at Lake Catholic High School where she was a two-time team leader in kills (2004, 2006) as well as the team leader in blocks and aces as a sophomore. The team Most Valuable Player in 2006, Mohr was an All-District Honorable Mention (2004) and Second Team (2006) and picked up North Coast League All-Conference Second Team honors twice. As a senior, Mohr was chosen as an All-Conference First Team member and Lake County News Herald Player of the Week.
Mohr was a three-time member of the District finalist team as well as the District championship team as a senior. The team finished undefeated in conference play and posted a 21-3 overall record this past season.
As a club player, Mohr competed for the Eastside Cleveland Juniors, which competed at nationals in Houston in 2004. She also competed for the Cleveland Volleyball Company.
An all-around student-athlete, Mohr was the recipient of the Lake County Scholar Athlete Award in 2006 and earned the Academic Excellence Award each semester enroute to earning a 4.3 GPA.
