IOWA CITY, IA -- La Salle junior Darnell Harris (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances) was named to the All-Tournament team at the Hawkeye Challenge hosted by the University of Iowa.
Harris scored 34 points in two games including his 19-point effort in the opening round game against Coppin State. The show-stopper, however, was his three-pointer with time expiring to lift the Explorers to a 64-63 win over Texas - Pan American on Saturday night.
Harris leads his team with an average of 18.8 points per game and .441 three-point shooting average (15-34) in the Explorers' five games.
Also named to the team were the host Hawkeyes' Adam Haluska, Tyler Smith and Justin Johnson. Coppin State placed Tywain McKee on the team and UTPA's Brian Burrell also was honored.
