PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Explorer senior Steven Smith its Player of the Week after the Explorers defeated St. Bonaventure and Dayton to improve to 17-7.

Smith averaged 23.5 points, 7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the pair of Explorer victories.  The wins have landed the Explorers in third place in the Atlantic 10 with a chance to secure a bye in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Championships which open up in Cincinnati on March 8th.

This marks the third time this season that last year's Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Year has earned the weekly honor.

The Explorers will attempt to extend their current winning streak to eight games when they visit Washington, DC to battle George Washington on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM.
