PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - The La Salle University Baseball team managed just four hits on the afternoon, two by Matt Burns, as the Villanova Wildcats take the non-conference game, 16-0, at Villanova Ballpark Tuesday.

The Wildcats (17-17) jumped out to a five-run lead after the second inning, scoring three runs in the first and a pair in the second.

La Salle (13-21) got a leadoff single in the second by John Rickards and Burns led off both the third and sixth innings with singles, but each time the Wildcats erased them with a double play.

Villanova added 11 more from the sixth through eighth innings, including six runs in the bottom of the eighth.

The Explorers return to the road Wednesday to take on Lafayette at 3:30 PM.
