PHILADELPHIA, PA - With the departure of six seniors from the 2005 La Salle University Women's Soccer team, the Explorers have signed nine newcomers. These players could challenge for a starting role or will play significant minutes for the team, which will be looking to return to the Atlantic 10 Championships for the second time in three seasons.

La Salle has also announced its 2006 schedule, which features the season opener with Villanova, the very first team the Explorers faced when they started the program 20 years ago. A trip to Florida and a tournament at Virginia Commonwealth also highlights the 2006 slate. La Salle will host nine games at McCarthy Stadium, including four games in the Atlantic 10.
