The defensive line is a close group that works hard and is beginning to understand what it takes to win up up front.  This is a group that desires to be dominant, works together, and is very coachable.  We will get better as the game goes on.  This is a unit that will bite you and fight you.  If the group continues to work hard during the summer, they will be a group that has the ability to control the line of scrimmage.

 

2006 Explorer defense is a smart group that can handle adjustments.  A savy group that understands what we are trying to accomplish defensively, and who recognizes how the offense intends to attack. 

 

We are a hard-nosed scrappy group who will continue to gel as a unit.  We are looking forward and are excited about our new recruits but we understand that the success of our defense depends on the core group of men that currently wear the blue and gold. 

 

With a good work ethic in the summer months, we hope to continue to improve on the defensive side of the ball.
